With the involvement of the Latvian start-up ecosystem, the database of Latvian start-ups has been updated, and the full version can be found here.
The maintaining of a start-up database is complicated work, as there are many start-up companies with short lives. Thus, the database must be updated on a constant basis and it must be checked which start-ups are not operational anymore or have changed their profiles. Such a database is very important for those within the ecosystem, local and foreign investors, as well as the media.
“From now on we will use this database as a primary resource in offering information to international partners and investors who are interested in start-ups in specific sectors. We will promote the database to journalists as well. Meanwhile, employees of the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA) will be able to utilize the database to inform about various support programs or just to bring together the “right people”,” the chief expert at the LIAA’s Start-up Support Department Alīna Platonova points out.
Thus, it is important for all of those within the ecosystem to take joint responsibility on the quality and preciseness of the information in the database. The LIAA invites every start-up to:
- make sure their company is included in the database;
- make sure the information in the database is correct;
- if changes are made within the company, inform about these changes to the system administrator by e-mail at startup@liaa.gov.lv;
- if the company is not in the database, it is possible to submit information about the company here.
