Experience and expertise are the values we at LatBAN present and appreciate in cooperation with our partners. For the last couple of months, we have been fully focused on the project initiated by the Latvian Agency for Investment and Development (LIAA) to increase the start-up's capacity for fundraising and the attention of venture capital funds.
In the scope of our collaboration, four masterclasses and four investment sessions have been successfully arranged already, and we think that this is the moment to express our gratitude to the people involved.
LatBAN fellow Dmitrii Mikhailov (Managing Partner at Tidal Wave VC, Lithuania) has delivered a master class about early-stage fundraising from venture capital funds and gave some important insights on how to work with B2B accelerators. Tidal Wave is an emerging early-stage (up to A) fund based in London. Their main areas of interest are Zero Emission & New Energy, Robotics & Real-life AI applications, HPC & Custom Silicon, Mental Health & Psychedelic Research.
Our Nordic friend Juho Risku (Managing Partner at Butterfly VC, Finland) participated in a recent investment session on November 22 and gave some insights to startup funders and Latvian angel investors on how to work with Nordic VC funds which are focused on deep tech and hardware.
Liis Hiie (Trind Ventures, Estonia) and Jone Vaituleviciute (Managing Partner at FIRSTPICK VC, Lithuania) both have participated in investment sessions online, evaluating Latvian startup pitches and making very valuable comments to startup founders. Trind Ventures is a seed-stage venture fund focusing on startups with a consumer or community component. FIRSTPICK is an early-stage venture capital fund investing in Baltic tech founders across broad fintech and technologies for a better world.
Last but not least to mention LatBAN Members of the Board Cyril Golub and Voldemars Bredikis are well-recognized experts in the region who worked in masterclasses with startups.
